Book a routine appointment

The Queenhill Medical Practice is putting you, the Patient First

How is the Queenhill Medical Practice putting patients first?

We understand that patients frequently experience frustration when attempting to schedule routine appointments, request repeat prescriptions, or inquire about immunisations by making phone calls to the practice. This often involves waiting in lengthy call queues. However, we want to let you know that AskFirst is accessible to patients around the clock, seven days a week, as a convenient alternative.

What has the practice put in place to manage this demand?

Starting from November 2023, our practice has been collaborating with AskFirst to launch a program for Adult Flu, Nurse, HCA, Social Prescriber and First Contact Practitioner (Physio) Bookings.

Features of AskFirst

Did you know that you can book and manage your appointments via the AskFirst App. It is proven to be 5 times quicker than calling the practice. Avoid the telephone queue and download AskFirst: onelink.to/askfirst

Using the app, we provide additional access to both phone and in-person appointments at the SELNASH GP Extended Access Hub based at Farley Road Medical Practice. These are available from Monday to Friday, 4.00pm to 8.00pm. Additionally, the Hub extends its services with the same appointment availability from 9.00am to 5.00pm on Saturdays with Doctors telephone appointments and face to face appointments and practice Nurse appointments.

Additional Information

Social Prescribers connect people with local community activities and services that can help improve their health and wellbeing reducing loneliness. They can help with a number of different non-medical social needs and difficulties. If you believe you could benefit from this assistance, you can schedule these appointments via AskFirst.

You can also utilise the app to send messages to the practice and access a wealth of self-care resources.
